TCU women’s golf team kicked off their season with a second place finish at the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational in Manhattan, Kansas. The Horned Frogs finished with a score of 875, just two strokes behind SMU’s 873.
Freshman Brooke Graebe led the team with a tournament score of 218. She had birdies on her first two collegiate holes and tied for seventh place individually at the tournament.
Freshman Annika Clark and sophomore Emmy Martin also secured individual finishes in the top ten. Clark tied for ninth with a 219 tournament score, while Martin shot 220 to secure a tenth-place finish.
Freshmen Brooke McDougald, who tallied four birdies, tied for 14th place with a score of 222. Junior Kelly McGovern shot 227 to tie for 21st.
The Horned Frogs will travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota this Monday to continue their season at the Minnesota Invitational.
