TCU volleyball finished non-conference play on a strong note Friday night, as they swept North Dakota State (25-18, 25-16, 25-16) to remain undefeated at home.

Just under a week away from their first Big 12 game, the Horned Frogs looked to make a statement against the visiting Bison, and they did just that.

From the start, TCU came out aggressive on offense led by senior middle blocker Anna Walsh. Walsh recorded a team-high 12 kills while boasting a .400 hitting percentage.

First-year outside hitter Élan McCall came in right behind Walsh with ten kills of her own, making this her eleventh straight game to record double-digit kills. McCall also had ten digs in the match.

The Frogs also played well on the defensive side of the ball, holding NDSU to a .035 hitting percentage and only 28 kills as a team.

Sophomore libero Berklie Baker led the match with 14 digs, making it her sixth time to record double-digit digs this season. This was Baker’s third straight match as libero for the Frogs.

The most significant impact of the match came from first-year middle blocker Katie Clark. Her .429 hitting percentage against the Bison was her third straight match to hit over .400, showing why her minutes have increased significantly as of late. Clark also recorded 7 kills in the match.

The Frogs will play their first conference match Wednesday, Sept. 19 against Oklahoma at home in the Rickell. The opening set is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m.
