After losing players due to grades or the inability to pay the increased dues, the university's hockey club finished the 2012-2013 season 3-15. The team’s season began in the fall and ended Sunday as the Horned Frogs fell to UTSA. The season ended with two injured players for the team, one injury being a broken wrist and the other a torn ACL.

The TCU club baseball team begins this season with only six returning players as they gear up to play a three-game series against the University of Nebraska-Lincoln this weekend.

 The Horned Frogs are joined by 19 newcomers who will give the team depth and athleticism at every position on the field, Philip Anderson, the team's president and coach, said.

They told their stories – the big, the small, the grand, the funny, the moving and even the hopeful – in under 6 minutes and 40 seconds.  Pecha Kucha, Japanese for “chit chat”, is a unique speaker series, said Will Hopper, one of the event's speakers and senior entrepreneurial management major.

The line of Tarrant County registered voters waiting to cast their vote stretched out the door Monday at the Brown-Lupton University Union. Early voting started a week later at the university, said Steve Raborn, a member of the Tarrant County Election Administration, because college campuses are used as part-time voting sites.

Fifty TCU students attended the MSLC informational to volunteer for the conference next year.   The Minority Student Leadership Conference is an annual event held in the fall semester for sophomores and juniors in high school. According to the organization's website, this two-day event is designed to develop leadership skills, promote college access, and provide a network for like-minded students.

More than two hundred students participated in Pi Beta Phi’s on-campus philanthropy event, “Dodge The Arrow,” on Oct. 2. The event was a men and women’s dodgeball tournament that raised awareness and money for Pi Beta Phi’s philanthropy of literacy.
