With conversations about the future of Worth Hills and the idea of new dorms, TCU housing is the talk of the town. But for a while, it was just an idea.
For those of you who have been on the TCU campus for the past few years, you have seen Clark, Milton Daniel and Moncrief get makeovers. However, new residence halls were not in the picture.

With the costs of tuition rising at an uneven rate compared to income levels, students need to talk to financial advisers before taking out loans, Melet Leafgreen, the assistant director of financial aid, said.
With need-based undergraduates at TCU taking a total of about $22 million out in loans, Leafgreen said she was worried students may run into trouble in the future.

Employers anticipated hiring more college graduates in 2011 compared to a couple years ago, Executive Director of Career Services John Thompson said he found in a National Association of Colleges and Employers survey. Despite the increase in college graduates with jobs, there was not a faster hiring process.

More than a week has passed since the magnitude 9.0 earthquake and tsunami hit Japan, but TCU alumna Jessica Fleming, who lives in Japan, said there was still inadequate access to food and gasoline.
Fleming, who lives in Shiogama, a city about 10 miles east of the city of Sendai, which was 80 miles from the quake's epicenter, said that compared to the citizens who were homeless and those who were located within the 50-mile radius around the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant, she and her fiancé's family were doing "A-OK."

Equestrian
TCU's equestrian team won 12-3 on Sunday against Delaware State.
The No. 6 Frogs earned three MVP accolades with junior Victoria Lee, senior Milana Trimino and sophomore Kolby Simonson each capturing one.
Lee, along with junior Taylor Frederick and sophomore Jennifer Whitt, gained points for a 5-3 win in Equitation over Fences.
Trimino helped lead the Frogs to a 7-1 victory in Equitation on the Flat, while Simonson finished in a draw in Reining.
On Saturday the Frogs will compete against No. 2 Georgia.

As February came to an end, Black History Month concluded its month-long celebration and awareness of the history of African-Americans with the TCU National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Forum "Unsung: Other Heroes of the Civil Rights Movement."
The forum, led by Briana Saldana on Monday in the Brown-Lupton University Union, presented information about the Civil Rights Movement, racism and how African Americans have progressed over the years, freshman strategic communication major Sarah Allen said.

About 100 high school students in the Dallas-Fort Worth area walked in the shoes of a college student Monday. From attending classes to eating in the Brown-Lupton University Union, the high school students were shown the college life, a university community involvement official said.
