Errors, injuries, and inconsistency on offense worked against the Frogs today as the team ended their 2011 campaign with a 8-4 defeat at the hands of Oral Roberts University, a team they had defeated 10-2 just two days before. Oral Roberts used six pitchers to beat the Frogs, with Joe Spring picking up the win. TCU finished their season with a final record of 43-20.

In the Mountain West Conference tournament, TCU blasted Utah to the tune of 14 runs in the semifinal before struggling against New Mexico in a quick turnaround.

In order to open their third consecutive Fort Worth Regional with a win, the Frogs needed Andrew Mitchell to step up or the bats to come alive. Instead, TCU got both as the Frogs used a dominant performance from Mitchell and several big innings at the plate to rout the Golden Eagles on Friday night, 10-2.

TCU used a seven-run inning to blow open their Saturday matchup against Utah and weathered a late storm, cruising to an 8-5 victory over the Utes.

A wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth gave TCU a late 2-1 victory as well as their sixth consecutive Mountain West Conference regular season championship as Nick Frey and the Horned Frogs took the series against the Utah Utes on Sunday afternoon.

TCU came into Tuesday night's game against the Oklahoma Sooners looking for revenge after the teams' April 12 meeting ended in humiliation for the Frogs. However, TCU's bid came up short as the Sooners wrapped up a season sweep of the Frogs, prevailing 7-4. Coach Jim Schlossnagle called the loss disappointing but was adamant that the loss was not definitive.

The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks bested No. 15 TCU by a score of 4-3 Wednesday evening at Lupton Stadum, dropping the Frogs to 0-7 in one-run games. In a night in which both teams tallied 11 hits, errors and base running plagued the Frogs, who were unable to tie the game in the ninth with two outs and a runner on third base.

A seven run inning proved to be the catalyst for TCU as the No. 14 HornedFrogs rebounded from Friday night's heartbreaker to overcome the Cougars 16-10. After Houston scored five runs in the fifth. Senior relieverTrent Appleby called the win "the type of game that can show you what this team is capable of when it doesn't give up." Appleby picked up the win in a five inning relief effort and Jordan Mannisto was tagged with his first loss of the season for Houston. The game was sloppily played, with five errors apiece for both sides.
