The TCU student charged with tampering with physical evidence in the investigation of the death of Thomas “Ty” Boone Pickens IV had injected Pickens with heroin the night before he died, according to Tarrant County court records.

The United States Armed Forces Oath of Enlistment was given to a group of future Marines at the university during the Horned Frogs' last football game of the season. This was the first time the oath was given to students trying to become Marine officers at the university.

Calling In Action and the Soul Steppers will be having their “Jesus Is The Reason For The Season” dance recital Sunday afternoon. The recital will be at 2 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Brown-Lupton University Union and is open for anyone to attend. Tickets are not needed, as the event is free.

University students should prepare for some warmer weather for Saturday's football game against Oklahoma. The cold front that has been dropping temperatures into the 30s in the evenings will not make an appearance tomorrow morning.

TCU TCU fans cheered on the Horned Frogs at their first Big 12 home game against Iowa State. The TCU football team saw their final drive of the game end in an interception at the Cyclone two-yard line losing 37-23 to ISU. The game started at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 and the temperature stayed in the lower 50’s throughout the game.

Parts of the eighth annual Frogs for the Cure video were shot on campus this past Sunday. Volunteers and people participating in the video met in the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in the morning to be briefed on what was going to happen that day. The people participating in the video consisted of university students, cancer survivors and anyone else who wanted to sign up for it.
