The expansion and renovation of the Annie Richardson Bass Building will benefit nursing education at the university by adding laboratories, updating medical equipment and increasing classroom space. Paulette Burns, dean of the Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences, said one of the reasons for the addition to Bass is the need for more simulation labs.

Equestrian is one of the most unpredictable sports. Unlike other sports that use rackets, bats, clubs or balls, equestrian uses horses that have a mind of their own. This is the challenge the TCU Women’s equestrian team faces at every practice and every meet.

Members of Students for Asian Indian Cultural Awareness will co-adopt a village in South India through the money they raised by fundraising at their annual Mela Carnival event Friday. Manoj Chelvanambi, a sophomore and public relations chair of SAICA, said ticket sales and donations raised $720 for AID India. Through one of its programs, Eureka Child, SAICA will co-adopt a village.

Senior Kelsey Sundaram of the women's tennis team will play in her last fall season tournament Friday at the Cougar Fall Open in Houston. This tournament will be Sundaram's second chance to compete this fall after undergoing wrist surgery in June.

The TCU men’s tennis team fell one round short of qualifying for the finals at the ITA Texas Regional Championships.  Sophomore Nick Chappell made it to the singles semifinals, but lost there to Baylor's Julian Lenz, 6-3, 6-2.  “We had a lot of guys win a lot of matches, but I did feel that Nick Chappell had the opportunity to win this tournament,” head coach David Roditi said.

TCU women's equestrian team will take on Texas A&M for the ninth time in program history Friday as the Horned Frogs hit the road for the first time this season.  Texas A&M is ranked No. 4 in the Women's Intercollegiate Equestrian National Coaches Poll, while TCU is ranked No. 8. The Aggies lead the all-time series 7-1.

For the first time this season, the TCU men’s tennis team will be competing at home in the USTA/ITA Texas Regional Championship beginning Saturday. Head coach David Roditi said this weekend is special to him compared to other tournaments this fall.

The women’s tennis team will travel to Waco on Oct. 19 for the UTSA/ITA Texas Regional Championship Friday, where senior Kelsey Sundaram will be able to compete for the first time this fall after undergoing wrist surgery in June. Sundaram said she has only been able to practice fully for a week.
