It is strange for me to say that after two years serving TCU student media, I will be graduating in May and leaving the newsroom, my home away from home.

The No. 7 TCU equestrian team enters the National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championships with Hunt Seat at the highest pre-tournament seed in program history.
The team enters at No. 5 in the discipline, 9-5 overall, with Western at No. 4 and 10-4 overall traveling to Waco.

The TCU equestrian team closed out the 2013 Big 12 Championships overall, but earned several individual athlete conference honors Saturday afternoon in Stillwater, Okla.
Sophomore Demi Stiegler was named Equitation on the Flat Rider of the Year after compiling an 11-1-2 overall season record. Stiegler went 5-1 in conference play during the regular season.

Going into the 2013 Big 12 Championships, the No. 2 tournament seeded TCU equestrian team could be the first sports team at the university to claim a conference champion title.

The TCU equestrian team rounded out the season’s home matches Saturday and Sunday against Kansas State and Auburn, coming out 5-2 at home on the season.
The No. 8 Horned Frogs defeated No. 4 Kansas State 14-6 Saturday, but fell to No. 2 Auburn 9-8 Sunday.

The No. 8 TCU equestrian team marked its first home loss of the season, falling 11-8 to No. 3 Oklahoma State Sunday in Springtown, Texas.
TCU outscored Oklahoma State 1,601-1,596.5 and claimed a 6-4 victory in Hunt Seat but fell 2-7 in Western. The loss moved the Horned Frogs to 5-4 overall and 2-3 in conference play.

The No. 8 TCU women’s equestrian team pulled off an overall 12-7 win over No. 6 Baylor Friday and Saturday.
The Horned Frogs defeated the Bears 3-1 in Reining and 3-2 in Horsemanship Friday night at the Fort Worth Stock Show, improving to 5-1 in Western this season and 4-0 in conference play.
