TCU Athletics promote, hire new staff members
TCU wide receivers coach Rusty Burns has been promoted to co-offensive coordinator, the university announced Thursday.
According to a press release issued by TCU Athletics, Burns, who shared duties with fellow co-offensive coordinator Jarrett Anderson in the Horned Frogs’ 31-24 win over Louisiana Tech, is replacing Justin Fuente, who was named head coach at the University of Memphis last month.
Burns will also take over for Fuente as TCU’s quarterbacks coach.
Trey Haverty, who coached safeties last year, will replace Burns as wide receivers coach.
The Frogs also welcomed back former safeties coach Chad Glasgow, who’ll return to his previous role.
Glasgow, TCU’s safeties coach from 2001-2010, spent 2011 as the Texas Tech defensive coordinator but was fired Dec. 29.
Glasgow was recognized by FootballScoop.com as the National Defensive Backs Coach of the Year in 2010.

Senior fashion merchandising major secures position with designer after internship
Mary Beth Taylor earned her dream job, a new position made for her in New York City that she will begin in June.
The senior fashion merchandising major said she interned with shoe designer Stuart Weitzman last summer and began working with the wholesale team as a major account-marketing analyst.
