James a game time decision for Saturday
The junior running back is nursing a knee injury he suffered last weekend.

Running back Waymon James will be a game time decision Saturday against Virginia, Head Coach Gary Patterson said Tuesday.
James left late in the fourth quarter against Kansas with a knee injury after running for 99 yards on 12 carries (8.25 yards per carry) on the Jayhawk defense.
If James is unable to go Saturday, senior Matthew Tucker will likely shoulder more of the workload in the backfield.
“If I have to I will,” Tucker said. “If I don’t, it doesn’t matter. I just want to win.”
Patterson said he considers both James and Tucker as starters on the roster, and he will have to adjust based on who is available Saturday.
“In my profession you can’t worry about the guy that goes down,” he said. “It’s just got to be the next guy that steps up.”
Patterson said the Frogs might also look to freshman B.J. Catalon and senior Aundre Dean at the running back position.
“Heck, Trevone Boykin might even be our fourth [running back],” he said.
The Frogs will kick off against the Cavaliers (2-1) at 11 a.m. Saturday on ESPN.
