As the TCU Horned Frogs prepare to kick off against the SMU Mustangs for the 92nd edition of the Battle for the Iron Skillet, here are 20 facts and figures to consider:
1- The number of touchdowns TCU has allowed this season. TCU gave up a fourth-quarter touchdown to the Virginia Cavaliers, snapping a 12-quarter streak that dates back to the Poinsettia Bowl.
2- The number of TCU players who have been honored as Big 12 Defensive Players of the Week. Linebacker Joel Hasley won the honor in week 2 after a 12-tackle, 2-sack performance against Kansas and linebacker Kenny Cain won in week 3 against Virginia, where had two interceptions and a fumble recovery.
3- The number of schools to have at least 15 true freshmen see time on the field. LSU, Ohio State and TCU are the three schools.
5- The number of years June Jones has coached the SMU Mustangs. Jones has a 25-30 all-time record with the Mustangs, with a 1-4 record against TCU since becoming their head coach.
6- The number of turnovers TCU has had in the red zone this season. TCU has fumbled 5 times and Casey Pachall has thrown one interception.
10- The number of TCU Horned Frogs who have already have a bachelor’s degree. This list includes offensive guard Blaize Foltz, center James Fry and punter Cale Patterson.
11- The number of years since a TCU quarterback threw for 300+ yards in consecutive games. Casey Pachall completed the feat last week against Virginia, throwing for 305 yards. He is the first TCU quarterback to do so since Casey Printers in 2001.
13- The total number of points TCU’s defense has allowed on the year. The Frogs are allowing an average of 4.3 points per game.
21.4- Number of miles away TCU’s hotel will be from Gerald Ford stadium. TCU staying at its same hotel in Arlington that it does for home games at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
24.7- Average number of points TCU has scored against opponents during it’s 11-game winstreak.
27- The average number of yards freshman Deante’ Gray gains on a punt return.
30- The number of pounds the Iron Skillet weighs. SMU currently owns the Skillet after last year’s 40-33 win.
91- The number of times TCU has played SMU. SMU is TCU's third-most played series, behind only Baylor (107 matchups) and Texas A&M (92).
107.7- The average number of rushing yards per game this season for SMU. The Mustangs rank 109th in Division I football in this category.
129.5- The average number of yards SMU running back Zach Line has gained against TCU. Line ran for 120 yards against the Frogs in 2011, and 139 yards in 2010.
209.9- TCU QB Casey Pachall’s passer efficiency rating, the highest rating in the nation.
308- The average weight of a TCU Horned Frogs’ offensive lineman. The average height of a TCU lineman is 6-5.
388- The number of passing yards allowed per game by the SMU defense.
1915- The first year TCU and SMU played one another. The Horned Frogs won 43-0.
1993- The last year SMU won back-to-back Battle for the Iron Skillet games. SMU won 21-15 in a Southwest Conference matchup.

Big 12 baseball tournament to start a day late in response to Oklahoma tornadoes
The Phillips 66 Big 12 Championships baseball tournament scheduled to start on Wednesday in will now begin on Thursday as a result of the tornado that hit Moore, Okla., according to a press release.

Jantzen Witte named Big 12 Co-Student Athlete of the Year
Jantzen Witte, Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year, was among eight members of the TCU baseball team recognized by Big 12 coaches as all-conference performers on Tuesday. Sophomore pitcher Preston Morrison was named to the first-team, while teammates Witte and freshman pitcher Alex Young were recognized on the second-team.
