TCU ranked No. 23 in first BCS standings
TCU grabbed the No. 23 spot in the first BCS poll of the season.
The Frogs were one of seven Big 12 teams in the BCS top 25. Kansas State took the No. 4 spot and Oklahoma ranked ninth. Baylor, Kansas and Oklahoma State did not make the BCS poll.
The Big 12 tied the SEC for having the most teams in the poll.
Alabama took the top spot followed by Florida and Oregon.

Former TCU football player suspected of laptop theft
Former TCU cornerback David Jenkins, who was dismissed from the university Friday following his arrest on warrants for suspicion of burglary, stole two laptops from residence halls in May, according to TCU Police reports.
Jenkins, an LSU transfer, is a suspect in the theft of two laptops from rooms in Moncrief Residence Hall on May 28 and May 30.

The construction of Rees-Jones Hall is on schedule to be completed in August 2014, James Lutz, director of Library Administrative Services said.

TCU cornerback David Jenkins dismissed from team
A TCU football player has been kicked off the football team and dismissed from classes, head coach Gary Patterson said on Friday, after two warrants were issued for his arrest on suspicion of burglary of a habitation.
