After a strong finish at the Amer Ari Invitational in Waikoloa, Hawaii, earlier this month, the men’s golf team will be competing in the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational at Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
The team is ready to face some of the top schools in the nation at the tournament next week, head coach Bill Montigel said.
Two of the participating teams are No. 3 University of Arkansas and No. 7 University of North Florida, according to golfstat.com.
Montigel said the team has been working on their short game, which is the shots around the green and putting. He said all the players are in good health and are excited to compete against top schools.
The team has been placing close to the top in every tournament this season, junior Daniel Jennevret said. He said he is confident each player will do his part to help the team succeed next week.
