TCU NAACP's demonstration cancelled

The TCU NAACP's demonstration to raise awareness about Intercom and its lack of a constitution, as well as to advocate equal representation is cancelled.

The BLUU Reservations Team was also concerned about the extent of our "demonstration" for the TCU Presentation of Student Organizations.

The event was supposed to begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday night by Frog Fountain, according to a press release written by TCU NAACP president Gabrielle McBay.

Although the TCU NAACP recognizes progress in Student Body President Brent Folan's Intercom reform, McBay wrote: "we want to make sure that Intercom’s changes here on out will continue to be positively re-structured." 

The demonstration, which McBay called a "presentation of student organizations," was open to the student body and seeks to give all students a voice, according to the press release. Student organizations will hold signs and chant. 

"We are hoping to spread awareness to the campus about Intercom so that they may continue to restructure themselves properly in order to represent all voices on campus and for students to know what exactly Intercom is," McBay wrote.
