The largest graduation class in TCU's history walked the stage Saturday, as 1,599 students graduated in a split Spring Commencement.

Soon after the university says goodbye to its graduating seniors, it will begin making more room for students. Although there are no specific start dates yet, Director of Housing and Residence Life Craig Allen said the site work and groundbreaking should take place soon after graduation ceremonies on May 11.

Graduating seniors have gained professional experience and secured jobs after graduation through various internships.  Josh Borders, a senior supply chain management and finance double major, turned his summer internship into a full-time job after graduation.

While many soon-to-be graduates are searching for jobs, senior Zach Freeman is making his own. The double major in supply chain and entrepreneurial management said he is almost ready to launch his moving company. His startup, called Veterans Moving America, will seek to hire veterans and conduct residential and commercial moves in Fort Worth, he said.

When the race began, he was already tired. It had only been 14 days since sophomore Garrett Evans last ran 26.2 miles in one day. But 3 hours and 1 minute after the starting gun, he crossed the finish line of the 2013 Inaugural Irving Marathon.

Two student journalists received the Jay and Gail Milner Distinguished Student Journalism Awards at the Student Media Awards Luncheon on Friday. Sophomore journalism major Samantha Ehlinger was named Reporter for the Year.

TCU students and visitors gathered in the Campus Commons Wednesday for Frogstock 2013, an annual gathering put on by residence halls Samuelson and Carter to bring students together for a fun time. This year, Samuelson and Carter Halls teamed up with the other halls in the commons, King and Wright, and they also worked with HallCrew to organize the event.

Put aside the swim cap and Speedo, it is time for the cap and gown. After a 14-year swimming career, senior kinesiology major Nelson Head is preparing to launch a career in medicine. Head and 54 other student athletes are expected to receive their diplomas this May,  Director of Athletics Media Relations Mark Cohen said.
