TCU grad Madee Schottleutner is remembered by her family as joyful, charismatic, happy and funny. “She was the light of the room,” her family said. Madison “Madee” Petko Schottleutner, 23,  of Mckinney, Texas died on Saturday night after she struck a tree in her automobile on a dark road, Pam Owen, Ms. Schottleutner’s aunt said.

Three weeks into construction on Berry Street and University Drive, project manager Arty Wheaton-Rodriguez said the team is making steady progress on the intersection. "We're on schedule,” he said. “The crews are working as fast as they can to get the intersection back open."

Big 12 Celebration 1. This is a big one for us Horned Frogs. With the entrance to the Big 12 Conference at Midnight Saturday night, TCU will be celebrating at Rodeo Plaza down in the Stockyards. Starting at 11:45 p.m. the event will have TCU cheerleaders, showgirls, the Frog Horn and a “special guest.” Be sure to come out and show your Horned Frog pride, 360 will be there!

Cowtown Farmers Market 1. Buy local. Eat fresh. At the Cowtown Farmers Market, all produce comes from within 150 miles of Fort Worth. The market is open from 8 a.m. until noon every Saturday this summer and had its first Wednesday market this past week from 8 a.m. until noon as well. This local market is off of Southwest Boulevard.

Starting Monday, drivers will need to find a new route between Berry Street and University Drive. At Tuesday night’s meeting, City Council members unanimously approved a plan to close the intersection of University Drive and Berry Street to fast-track work on the Berry Street initiative. The intersection will be closed Monday.
