It had only been 14 days since sophomore Garrett Evans last ran 26.2 miles in one day.
But 3 hours and 1 minute after the starting gun, he crossed the finish line of the 2013 Inaugural Irving Marathon.

TCU students and visitors gathered in the Campus Commons Wednesday for Frogstock 2013, an annual gathering put on by residence halls Samuelson and Carter to bring students together for a fun time.
This year, Samuelson and Carter Halls teamed up with the other halls in the commons, King and Wright, and they also worked with HallCrew to organize the event.

After a 14-year swimming career, senior kinesiology major Nelson Head is preparing to launch a career in medicine.
Head and 54 other student athletes are expected to receive their diplomas this May, Director of Athletics Media Relations Mark Cohen said.

Some dream of becoming the next Rachel Zoe or getting into Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and Kaygan Tissue, a fashion merchandising student at TCU, is on her way to fashion industry.
Tissue, a sophomore, has started by creating an online venture named Kissue with help from her parents and older sister Kailey, who is also her business partner.

It started as any other hair appointment at the Burt Grant Salon in Arlington, only this time, TCU theatre professor Krista Scott sat in the stylist chair and waited for what she now calls “the shearing.”
Scott stroked her light brown hair and seemed at ease with what was about to happen.

Over two days, participants in the USA Weightlifting Certification course learned proper Olympic weightlifting techniques and how to apply those techniques while coaching others.
This was the first time the course was offered at TCU.
The idea to bring the course to the university came from assistant professor of kinesiology, Jonathan Oliver.
