TCU will host the University of Texas for the first time in women's basketball since 1996 on Saturday.

Head coach Jeff Mittie and the Horned Frogs (7-12, 0-8 Big 12) are looking for their first win in conference play after losing a road decision at Oklahoma 74-53 Wednesday.

Freshman guard Zahna Medley led the Horned Frogs on offense against the Sooners scoring 18 points. The young Frog continued to produce for Mittie as freshman Veja Hamilton scored 10 points and sophomore Natalie Ventress tallied nine more.

Both sides have struggled thus far in Big 12 conference play. Texas (8-11, 1-7 Big 12), who was picked to finish fifth in the conference preseason poll according to the official Big 12 website, recorded its first win since Dec. 20 when the Longhorns defeated Kansas State last week in Austin.

Forward Nneka Enemkpali and center Imani McGee-Stafford both recorded double-doubles in the win over the Wildcats. Enemkpali led the Horns with 20 points and 16 rebounds while McGee-Stafford added 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

TCU is not only looking for its first Big 12 Conference win but will also hope to record its first ever win against the Longhorns. The Frogs are 0-30 all-time against Texas (0-2 under Mittie) with the Longhorns average margin of victory being 38.7 points per game.

The two sides have not played since Dec. 10, 2002, in Austin when the Longhorns won 86-54.

Game time is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The game will be shown on Fox Sports Net.
