Head football coach Gary Patterson has announced that that sophomore defensive end Devonte Fields has been suspended for the first two games of the 2013 season for violating university and team policy, according to a press release.

TCU’s athletic department will spend $500,000 and take over a single-game contract with South Dakota State to play a home-and-home football series with the University of Minnesota, according to Minnesota’s associate athletic director.

The TCU Horned Frogs will venture into Big 10 territory in 2014 and 2015, as TCU's athletics department has scheduled a football home-and-home series with the University of Minnesota. TCU athletic director Chris Del Conte said in a press release that the scheduling change helps to fit a "philosophy of playing a national schedule."

Ryan Christian played football before 6,000 fans at Aledo High School and in front of a record 50,307 spectators at TCU's Amon G. Carter Stadium. Today, he plays the same game in front of a few hundred dedicated fans in Parma, Italy. But for Christian, his genuine love for the game trumps attendance numbers, and he believes Italy is exactly where he needs to be.

Two former TCU players will see time in the NFL, as Josh Boyce and Stansly Maponga were drafted by professional football teams. The New England Patriots drafted former TCU wide receiver Josh Boyce with the fifth pick of the fourth round. The 102nd overall pick will join former Frogs Marcus Cannon and Malcolm Williams on the Patriots.

Josh Boyce leads a group of eight TCU Horned Frogs who are trying to make their way into the NFL draft, which starts Thursday, April 25. Boyce, a former receiver at TCU, visited the facilities of the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys on official meetings within the last month.

TCU's new assistant director of football operations says she still remembers the words of wisdom Auburn assistant coach Trooper Taylor told her.  Dominique Neville, a native of Huntsville, Alabama, and alumna of Auburn University, says she uses the quote to motivate her every day in her new profession at TCU.
