A dunk by center Isaiah Austin followed by a foul on the dunk and a technical foul call on Trent Johnson helped the Baylor Bears cap an 18-0 run with less than four minutes left until halftime.
The Bears kept their distance from TCU the rest of the half to take a 43-26 halftime lead.

The TCU men’s basketball team will return home to face Baylor after dropping its sixth consecutive Big 12 game.
Baylor won the first meeting this season 51-40 on Jan. 12 in Waco. TCU held a 22-21 halftime lead, but a jumper by junior forward Cory Jefferson at the 15-minute mark gave Baylor the final lead change of the game.

The TCU men’s basketball team will travel to Morgantown, W.Va., in pursuit of its first Big 12 win against fellow Big 12-newcomer West Virginia.
The Mountaineers (8-9 overall, 1-3 Big 12) finished their non-conference schedule Saturday with a 79-52 loss to Purdue. West Virginia dropped its latest conference game 69-67 to Iowa State.

Defense may win championships, but in a battle of top offense against top defense, defense did not end up the victor.
The Iowa State Cyclones, the No. 1 offense in the Big 12, came away from the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum with a 63-50 victory over the TCU Horned Frogs.

A Tyrus McGee dunk was the signature play for Iowa State during a 14-4 run in the first half, as Iowa State's offense has led the Cyclones to a 36-26 lead at halftime.
McGee leads the Cyclones with 13 points, while forward Garlon Green has been the leading offensive performer for the Horned Frogs, with 8 points.

TCU head coach Trent Johnson saw the 67-54 loss to Kansas State on Wednesday as a learning opportunity for the team.
“We as coaches are talking about working on their skills and understanding roles,” Johnson said. “You can learn from a game like this. That’s just being very candid and very honest.”

TCU, looking to end a three-game conference losing skid, took an early lead against the No. 16 Kansas State Wildcats, but the Frogs weren’t ready.
The Wildcats went on a 19-4 run in the first half to grab a lead they never relinquished after falling behind 10-5.

Kansas State guard Martavious Irving hit a lay-up at the buzzer to give Kansas State a 38-25 lead at halftime over TCU.
TCU opened the game with an 10-5 lead, but Kansas State used an 8-0 run to take its first lead of the game at 13-10. TCU guard Kyan Anderson hit a 3-pointer to cut the Wildcats’ lead to 24-17 followed by four points from forward Adrick McKinney.

Cory Jefferson had 15 points, including consecutive baskets to start Baylor's tiebreaking run, and the Bears beat TCU 51-40 Saturday night in the first meeting in more than 10 years between the instate rivals which are now Big 12 foes.
Jefferson's floater with 15 minutes left broke a 28-all tie and put Baylor (11-4, 3-0 Big 12) ahead to stay.
