TCU football's complete 2013 schedule was announced Tuesday by the Big 12 office. TCU opens the season Aug. 31 versus LSU in the Cowboys Classic at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. The Horned Frogs' second season in the Big 12 will begin Sept. 14 at Texas Tech.

TCU women's volleyball coach Prentice Lewis had just announced some good news. After a string of two-a-day practices, she called for a day off. “Praise the Lord!” yelled a player as she jumped up, prompting laughter from her teammates.

The TCU men’s basketball team will finish its season-opening five game homestand against Navy on Tuesday.  Navy’s visit to Daniel-Meyer Coliseum is part of the South Padre Island Tournament. TCU won its first game of the tournament 44-39 over Prairie View A&M. Navy dropped its first game 82-63 to the University Alabama-Birmingham to fall to 2-1.

TCU posted its lowest scoring total in 29 years, but came away with a 44-39 victory over Prairie View A&M. In 1983, the Frogs beat East Texas State 35-26.

  TCU trails Prairie View A&M 20-17 at halftime after falling into a 14-0 hole early in the half. Guard Jarvis Ray led the Frogs with nine points and forward Garlon Green grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. Guard Carl Blair had nine points for the Panthers.

The TCU men’s basketball team will return to the court Sunday against Prairie View A&M following its first loss of the season. Prairie View A&M’s visit to the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum is part of the South Padre Island Invitational. The Frogs will play two home games and then travel to South Padre Island Friday to finish the tournament.

The TCU women’s basketball team won its first game of the season after defeating the University of Central Florida 61-55. The Frogs are now 1-1 on the season. TCU is 3-0 in its match-ups against UCF.
