TCU Football holds a 10-3 lead at halftime against Minnesota.

The Horned Frogs opened up the scoring when kicker Jaden Oberkrom drained a 53 yard field goal in the first quarter, putting the Frogs up 3-0

TCU expanded its lead to 10-0 later in the quarter when quarterback Trevone Boykin found Josh Doctson for an 11 yard touchdown.

The Frogs had a chance to go up 17-0 in the second quarter, but a fumble by Aaron Green at the Minnesota 12 yard line put the ball back in the hands of the Gophers.

Minnesota threatened shortly after when quarterback Mitch Leidner completed a 36 yard pass that put the Gophers in the red zone, but the opportunity ended when Derrick Kindred forced a fumble in the end zone and the Frogs recovered.

Minnesota got on the board later when kicker Ryan Santoso made 42 yard field goal, cutting TCU’s lead to 10-3.

The Frogs once again had a prime opportunity to extend their lead by a field goal in the closing seconds of the second quarter, but Oberkrom’s 29 yard attempt was no good after deflecting off the left goal post.

The Frogs’ defense held the Gophers to 126 total yards in the first half, while the Frogs totaled 209 yards of offense.
