Music in the 109 this week, July 31 – Aug. 6

As if it’s not hot enough, multiple bands are ready to bring the heat to the 109. California rapper Joseph Foreman, also known as Afroman, will be performing at the Aardvark Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 10 p.m. This Grammy award nominee puts on a great show and always seems to please the crowd with entertaining songs.

I’ve never personally seen them perform, but The Hosty Duo is also known to put on an exciting show. The Hosty Duo is a two man band from Oklahoma. Hosty plays the drums with his feet, while singing and playing the guitar, and his sidekick rocks out on his three piece drums. They will preform on Friday, Aug. 5, at The Moon. The show will start at 10 p.m., followed by Apache 5, and Kirby Brown.

From rock n roll to country folk, The Moon will be raging with excitement again Saturday, Aug. 6. Put your dancing shoes on and join us to support a local rock band, The Quaker City Night Hawks. Their new album was released this week, and is already a huge hit. They revealed it at the Basement Bar in the Fort Worth Stockyards last Thursday, leaving Fort Worth music lovers in awe, and wanting more. Along with them will be The O’s, RTB2, and The Moonshiners, starting at 9 p.m.
