Music in the 109 this week, Aug. 28-Sept. 3

Whether you’re feeling funky, a bit bluesy, or simply looking for a 2-stepping scene, the 109 is the place to be. When you’ve been working hard, and the week is half way over, nothing is better than a little mid-week music. Come celebrate the middle of the week, Wednesday, August 31, at the Aardvark with Country artists, Paul Eason and Jeff Whitehead, starting at 10:30 p.m.

JJ & The Rogues, a local Indie/ New Wave/ Rock band, are playing beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at The Moon. JJ & The Rogues were named one of the “Best Live Bands” in 2006, and were also nominated for “Best Comeback Band” in the 2011 Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards. This award-winning group comes up with their own lyrics, and puts on an exciting, but different show. After JJ & The Rogues, Dirt & Earthy Vibes are playing at The Moon. This Rock band from Grapevine, Texas, captures your attention and sets a great mood.
