“The week of joy”: Christ Chapel College’s annual trip to Belize

174 students, a record number, went on this year's trip.

Music in the 109 this week, Sept. 18-24

Alex Zoebel (from The Hanna Barbarians), will be playing at 10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at The Moon. Guest performances from The Quaker City Night Hawks and Stella Rose are expected. No cover charge.

George Miadis will play from 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Potbelly’s. George Miadis started performing at Potbelly’s in 2006, after attending a four-year university in Belgium for music.

The Blank Generation, Apache 5, and The Red 100s will play at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at The Moon. This acoustic/ rock band is all TCU students and plays a handful of their own songs, along with cover songs.

Glen Farris, Joey Kendall, and Fate Lions will play at 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at The Moon. Fate Lions, an indie/ rock band from Fort Worth, has played a great number of shows, including a performance at the 2011 Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards.

All Jacked Up will play at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept, 24, at Rock Bottom. This rock/ alternative country band claims to be the “premier Texas party band,” playing cover songs from Pat Green to The Black Crowes.

Fishfry Bingo, Joe Tucker’s One Man Band, and Keegan Mcinroe will play at 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at The Moon. Fishfry Bingo describes their music as a “Hillbilly jug band.” This band strives to put on an entertaining show, by playing a banjo, and at times, a washboard, cymbals, rattles, and many other instruments.
