109ers from the Tanglewood and Overton Park Neighborhood Associations partnered to cheer on runners at The Cowtown races this morning.The cheer station was located along the Marathon and Ultra Marathon course on Overton Park Drive East and Bellaire Drive. In addition to cheering, the neighborhood associations provided pompoms, whistles, cowbells, and stop watches. Participants also received a free Cowtown shirt and food.
Dawn Alexandrea Berry gave the keynote address about the Korean War's legacy on the search for missing service members in the annual Lance Cpl. Benjamin W. Schmidt Symposium.
