Early voting in May 10 elections begins April 28

Early voting in the May 10 elections begins April 28 and runs through May 6.

Voters will decide the fate of a $219 million bond package that includes propositions funding capital investments in neighborhoods, business districts and infrastructure. The Crime Control and Prevention District continuation is also on the ballot. If approved, a half-cent sales tax would continue to help fund the Police and other departments through fiscal year 2020.

Six candidates are running for the District 9 seat on the Fort Worth City Council, replacing Councilmember Joel Burns, who is stepping down.

A list of early voting places and times, sample ballots and other election information is online at the Tarrant County Elections websitePDF Icon or the Denton County Elections website.

Voters are now required to present an approved form of photo identification to vote in all Texas elections.
