College students seem to have a reliance on caffeine to get them through lectures and late night study sessions, but there are healthier alternatives to power through the day.

TCU 360: TCU football tops Oklahoma 37-33

The TCU Horned Frogs knocked off the fourth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners in a thriller of a game Saturday afternoon.

TCU won 37-33, with the game-winning touchdown coming on a 41-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

There were many big plays and over 900 yards of offense in what was slated as a clash between two stout defenses. Both quarterbacks threw for over 300 yards and rushed for nearly 100 apiece.

However, it’s the oddities of this game will be remembered for a long time. It started with a deflected catch, then a fumble into the end zone for a touchdown, many missed interceptions and a few actual interceptions, long bombs, penalties galore, a pick-six, a returned PAT, and multiple fourth quarter turnovers.

The Horned Frogs' defense had a hard time containing Oklahoma’s wide receiver Sterling Shepard, who had seven catches for 215 yards and a long 75-yard touchdown. Oklahoma’s vaunted rushing attack was successful with 152 yards and three rushing touchdowns, but Oklahoma’s star running back Samaje Perine was held to 92 yards after a 242-yard, four touchdown performance in his last game.

Jaden Oberkrom hit another milestone and is 100-for-100 on PAT’s for his career. However, he missed his third field goal of the year and had a PAT blocked and returned for two points by Oklahoma.

Junior wide receiver Kolby Listenbee had his first career 100-yard game today, and was targeted for two more deep passes that were very close to being completed.

Paul Dawson came up huge with a pick-six off of a Trevor Knight pass in the opening minute of the 4th quarter for the first TCU pick-six since Sam Carter's against SMU in 2013.

Running back B.J. Catalon is the first Horned Frog to have a rushing and receiving touchdown in the same game since Josh Boyce did it against Baylor in 2012.

The defense ended the game on the field after the offense fumbled twice and was unable to finish the game by getting a first down. The Horned Frog secondary preserved the win by knocking down a pass in the back corner of the end zone.

It was a hectic afternoon on the field for both sides, but TCU gained a statement victory against a nationally-renowned Oklahoma team and is now looking ahead to the Baylor game in Waco next week.
