Slideshow: TCU 2014 homecoming parade proclaims Horned Frog pride

Students, faculty, visitors and local residents came together to celebrate TCU’s 2014 homecoming parade which kicked off at 6 p.m. Friday. The Horned Frogs will play Oklahoma State University during Saturday’s homecoming game.

People gathered early and waited street side for the parade to begin then cheered as different groups marched past.

Students and community members showed their TCU pride while participating in the parade. The crowd cheered to the spirit songs played by the TCU Band and flags displayed the different countries that are represented within TCU’s student body. Mr. and Ms. TCU nominees were present showing their school spirit and sorority and fraternity members rode in decorated floats.

Alex Lemon, TCU English professor, said the parade was a great experience, and it is always fun to see students as well as people from the community celebrate homecoming.
