Attempted abduction reported along University Drive

Fort Worth police are looking into an attempted abduction that was reported to have happened along University Drive last night.

A female TCU student was walking with her dad to their car about 11 p.m. Nov. 8 in the 3200 block of University Drive after TCU’s football game against Kansas State when two Hispanic males tried to abduct her, according to an off campus crime alert sent by TCU police.

The dad told police he was a few feet behind his daughter, when the passenger of a green, 2004 Saturn four-door sedan, with Texas license plate CCN3609 stopped, opened the door and yelled “Hey, bitch” at his daughter, according to the alert. The passenger then got out of the car and tried to grab the student, but her dad stepped up and told the man he needed to keep driving. The man then got back into the vehicle and continued north along University.

According to the email alert sent by detective Vicki Lawson, the suspects are described as Hispanic males. There are no further details about the driver. However, the passenger was wearing a gray sweatshirt, is about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs about 185 pounds and has short, black hair, possibly a buzz.
