TCU police identify man found hiding in residence hall closet

TCU police have identified the man who was discovered hiding in the closet of a TCU campus residence hall Friday night.

Detective Vicki Lawson said the man, described as Asian, about 20 years old and 5 feet 5 inches tall, is a former TCU student. However, Lawson said the man’s name is not being released at this time because the investigation is ongoing, and it is still unclear why he was hiding there.

A female TCU student discovered the man in her closet around 7:45 p.m. Nov. 7, according to an email alert sent by Lawson.

The man fled the room and left the building after being discovered, and no one was hurt.

According to the alert, nothing was missing from the room and the student did not know the man.
