Fort Worth City Council will take four weeks off this summer.
The council announced its schedule earlier this week and the June 23, June 30, July 7 and July 14 meetings are no longer scheduled.
Kevin Neal, media coordinator for Fort Worth City Council, said these meetings have been cancelled for summer break.  Neal said these cancellations usually take place every summer.
“Even though we don’t have our physical meetings, there is a lot going on behind the scenes,” Neal said.
Meetings will continue July 21, with the pre-council meeting starting at 3 p.m. and the city council meeting starting at 7 p.m.
Regular meeting schedules will continue on Tuesdays for the next five weeks, with the last city council meeting for the summer set for August 25.
On August 20 and 21 there will be a budget work session.  Fort Worth Texas Government’s website said the time will be announced later on.
Summer meetings will come to a close on August 27 for a budget workshop.
All city services will be available and all meetings for boards, commissions and committees will remain as scheduled unless otherwise noted.
