The Frogs gave up 508 yards of total offense against SMU, consistently beaten by deep balls from SMU quarterback Matt Davis throughout the game.

Since the beginning of the 2014 season, the only other game where the TCU defense has given up 500 or more yards is last year’s lone loss to Baylor.

Patterson says his cornerbacks must improve, but this also could be a season of shootouts – where the Frogs are focused on scoring just one more point than their opposition.
