Nursing students from the Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences will help promote “Riff Ram Bah Zoo Beat the Flu TCU” at the annual flu clinic this Wednesday.

Free vaccinations will be available to TCU students, retirees, faculty and staff from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Recreation Center basketball courts.

“The flu clinic is a great opportunity for TCU student nurses to get involved on campus,” junior nursing major Taylor Baugh said. “It is also good practice for the nurses.”

The flu clinic is a public health collaboration between the TCU Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences, TCU Human Resources, TCU Recreation Center and TCU Health Center.

Junior nursing major Eileen Dinnie said the clinic is beneficial for both students looking to get vaccinated and nursing students.

“The flu clinic is a great opportunity for TCU that allows the nursing majors to help the rest of the student body,” Dinnie said. “It is also conveniently right on campus, so it saves you a trip to the doctor’s office.”

The clinic is designed as a hands-on, service-learning experience that enables nursing students to develop expertise in public health leadership, management and skills.

“The clinic is an overall great experience for the entire TCU student body,” Baugh said.
