Churches around Fort Worth are joining in a conversation to answer questions about creation and the world that religion has established.

The conversation was started by an Austin based organization called Explore God. The Explore God site offers free resources in the form of videos and articles by people from all over the world giving their insight on the topics.

Camille Rodriquez, the Chief Operating Officer of the Explore God Network said the website and resources launched in 2011, however the idea had been coming together for years, aiming towards facilitating honest and meaningful conversations.

Here in Fort Worth, churches have joined the Explore God Network and are hosting small discussion groups for those interested in getting answers and sharing opinions. The DFW Community Outreach Initiative had 412 churches registered as participating, with many more holding public or private discussion groups, Rodriquez said.

“Anytime you can have that many groups come together across denominational and geographic lines, it’s a huge statement of unity,” said Rodriquez

Mark Polley of Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church said their Wednesday evening discussion groups are open to all.

“We usually have dinner as a group at 6:30 p.m. then we watch the videos and hold open discussion, ending around 8:45-9 p.m.,” said Polley.

Other discussion groups and churches in the Fort Worth area can be found on the Explore God website. Free resources are also posted on their website for group or individual exploration.

Rodriquez said feedback from the DFW community has been very positive thus far.

“The folks in Dallas and Fort Worth really came together to make this happen,” said Rodriquez.
