The Horned Frogs followed a huge victory over Oklahoma on Friday with a run-rule of the Sooners in the first of two games on Saturday.

TCU used 16 hits to beat the Sooners 12-2 in just seven innings after an 11-3 victory the previous night.

TCU scored in six of the seven innings, and four of those innings were multiple-run innings for the Frogs. Starting pitcher Dalton Horton gave TCU six solid innings, giving up one run on seven hits.

Oklahoma starter Chris Andritsos struggled, lasting just 2 2/3 innings while giving up four earned runs on seven hits.

The Sooners bullpen did not fare any better and gave up seven more earned runs on nine hits. The lone bright spot for the Oklahoma offense was designated hitter Steele Walker, who went 3-for-3 on the day with an RBI.

TCU leadoff hitter Austen Wade went 3-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and a stolen base. After a stellar day on the mound Friday night, Luken Baker went 3-for-4 at the plate on Saturday morning and knocked in three RBI’s.

The win continues Dalton Horton’s impressive season. He is now 5-0 with a 2.08 earned run average.

TCU has outscored Oklahoma 23 to 5 in two games this weekend. The Frogs will look to complete the 3-game sweep of the Sooners on Saturday at 3 p.m.
