Equestrian finishes on top in out-of-state dual meet

The equestrian team finished first in their dual meet against Delaware State and UT-Martin Friday in Dover, Delaware on Friday, Oct. 6. TCU beat Delaware State 10-5 and UT-Martin 8-7.

The Horned Frogs tied the DSU Hornets in Equitation over Fences and Equitation on the Flat, bringing the overall Hunt Seat score to 4-4.

Sophomore Claire Dittrich had a 69-point ride in Reining, earning the Most Outstanding Player distinction for that event.

In Horsemanship, the Frogs earned three out of the four points. Sophomore Josie Mootz earned the MOP title with a 71.5-point ride. TCU beat DSU 6-1 in Western.

The Horned Frogs went 3-5 in Hunt Seat against the UTM Skyhawks, tying in Equitation over Fences, but falling short in Equitation on the Flat.

Freshman Adrianna Adams earned her third MOP title thanks to a score of 70.5 in Western. The Frogs went 5-2 overall in Western, making the final score 8-7.

Next up, TCU competes at home against the University of Georgia on Oct. 20.
