Under head coach Jamie Dixon, TCU men’s basketball has experienced success it hasn’t felt in about two decades. Monday marked another milestone in the program’s journey back to relevance: Earning a spot in the AP Top 25 Poll for the first time since they ranked No. 25 in December 2014.
TCU made its 2017-18 debut in the national rankings at No. 23– the Frogs’ highest ranking since they reached No. 21 in 1999.
The Horned Frogs joined four Big 12 Conference teams, No. 2 Kansas, No. 16 Baylor, No. 19 West Virginia and No. 22 Texas Tech, in this week’s rankings.
TCU (6-0) owns the longest winning streak in the nation, having won its last 11 games dating back to last season. After winning the Emerald Coast Classic over Thanksgiving weekend, the Horned Frogs begin a three-game homestand Wednesday when they host Belmont at 8 p.m..
