TCU Rifle wins back-to-back conference titles

The TCU Rifle team won their second consecutive Patriot Rifle Conference championship Saturday at Air Force.

The team finished with an aggregate score of 4,697, 27 more points than second-place Air Force.

The Horned Frogs also took home both the Smallbore and Air Rifle team titles. Senior Mindy Miles, sophomore Casey Lutz and senior Rachel Garner all finished top-eight in the Air Rifle finals. Miles, Garner and junior Ariana Grabowski finished top-eight in Smallbore.

Miles and Freshman Elizabeth Marsh captured both individual titles with Marsh winning the Smallbore individual championship and Miles winning the Air Rifle title.

The Air Rifle title was Miles’ fourth consecutive title in the Patriot League.

The team returns to the range when they host an NCAA Qualifier on Feb. 17 in Fort Worth.
