Beach volleyball extends losing streak to eleven

TCU beach volleyball lost a pair of 4-1 decisions to No. 6 Cal Poly and No. 10 Arizona Saturday at Pismo Beach, California.

The Horned Frogs faced Cal Poly for the second time this season. TCU’s Jordan Westendorff and Brooke Sassin were victorious over Heather Pembroke and Macy Gordon 18-21, 21-19, 15-8 for the Horned Frogs’ only victory in the battle. Meanwhile, Molly Scheel and Jensyn Bledsoe lost a close decision to Cal Poly’s Adlee Van Winden and Taylor Nelson 22-20, 21-17.

In the matchup against Arizona, the combo of Scheel and Bledsoe defeated the Wildcats’ Mia Mason and Makenna Martin 21-13, 21-19. TCU’s Cassie House and Haven Hill lost a nail-biting decision to Olivia Hallaran and Kacey Nady 21-18, 20-22, 9-15.

The Horned Frogs will travel to Columbia, South Carolina to compete in the Gamecock Challenge Saturday and Sunday against Florida Gulf Coast, Alabama-Birmingham, South Carolina and UNC-Wilmington.
