The TCU women’s rifle team won their weekend match over Air Force and Ohio State with an aggregate score of 4704.

Going into the spring as the No.1 ranked team by the College Rifle Coaches Association, the Horned Frogs were led by Kristen Hemphill, as she notched career bests in both air rifle and total aggregate score in the victory.

The first-year student was crowned the top aggregate performer in Saturday’s meet, as TCU would go on to take six of the top-10 aggregate scores in the contest.

First-year student Noelle Christensen also had a career best in smallbore with her score of 573, putting her at the No. 11 spot for the event.

Senior Rachel Garner had a solid outing in what was to be the final home match of her collegiate career. The 2018 All-American finished with an individual smallbore score of 583, the third-best score of the day. Garner finished with an aggregate score of 1169, placing her at the No. 6 spot overall for the match.

The Horned Frogs look to build upon Saturday’s success on Jan. 26, when they travel to take on University of Texas-El Paso.
