Twenty-point efforts from guards Lauren Heard and Jayde Woods helped lead TCU women’s basketball to a four-point victory over Oklahoma State Wednesday night.

The win pushes the Horned Frogs to 15-4 overall and 6-2 in conference play. The win also marks TCU’s fourth win on the road this season to stay undefeated away from Fort Worth.

The teams took turns with the lead as the game saw 20 lead changes.

The Frogs and the Cowgirls were tied at 20 after the first quarter, which was the first time this season that TCU was tied after the first 10 minutes of play.

TCU would take a seven-point lead, their largest of the night, with 7:42 left to play in the third quarter. The Cowgirls would come back, but the Horned Frogs would regain the lead with 6:48 to play in the game.

Heard would score 12 of her 25 points in the final quarter to help secure the win for TCU. She was also 10-of-10 from the free-throw line.

Woods scored 11 of her career-high 22 points in the fourth quarter as well.  The duo combined for 23 of the team’s 25 points in the fourth quarter.

The Horned Frogs will be back in action at 1 p.m. Saturday from Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena as they host Kansas State.
