Use “a” before a major if the major comes after the name, but not if the major comes before the name (Jarod Daily, a sophomore news-editorial journalism major, but sophomore news-editorial journalism major Jarod Daily).
For double majors, list both areas of study and clarify that there are two (Laura McFarland, a news-editorial journalism and English double major, not a news-editorial journalism/English major or news-editorial journalism and English major).
