School has too many pressures

I'm not going to say I necessarily "hate" school. I'm just really tired of it.Coming back from a Christmas break and facing the beginning of a new semester that is already more stressful than the last, has made me realize just how weary I've grown of being in school.

I am thankful that I've had the opportunity to go to college, and yes, I'm aware that not everyone goes, and I should be blessed that I get to, but that still doesn't mean I have to like it.

Deep Ellum wanes, Fort Worth soars

The live music scene in Dallas might be struggling, but business has never been better in Fort Worth. "Business is fantastic and booming," said Wesley Hathaway, co-owner of the Fort Worth venue the Ridglea Theater.

Trees, located in Dallas' Deep Ellum, is the most recent club to close its' doors - part of trend in the city.

Other clubs in the area may be closing as well, including the Gypsy Tea Room, the Green Room and Jeroboam all of which have already filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Students audition for dance scholarships, concert roles

Current and aspiring dance majors will have their only opportunity to perform in their department's spring shows when the Department of Ballet and Modern Dance holds a set of auditions starting tonight.The first audition is tonight at 5:30 p.m. in the Ballet and Modern Dance building. The audition is used to cast dance majors for spring concerts and other shows for the rest of the semester.
