Fans somber after crushing defeat

"Go start the bus!" "Go start the bus!" is not the phrase that Horned Frog fans looked forward to hearing when they walked into Darrell K. Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium to watch TCU take on the Texas. When TCU junior finance major JB Askew entered the stadium, he said he felt confident about the Horned Frog's chances against the number seven team in the nation.

"I know my UT friends are nervous and they should be," Askew said. "We're gonna put forth a strong showing."

Women’s rugby team in founding stages

Two students are working to make their dream of a women's rugby team at TCU become a reality. Though freshmen Kayla Bankhead and Erin House have proposed the idea, the team is not official yet.

Bankhead said in order to have a team, there must be at least 10 non-freshman students signed up. Once the team is created, Bankhead and House plan on finding a coach and preparing for their first season.

Bankhead said it will most likely be a year before the team competes in an actual game.

Football: UT ticket lottery receives mixed student reactions

Even though the Horned Frogs take on the Baylor Bears in Saturday's season opener, the buzz around campus has been about the team's trip to Austin to face the University of Texas Longhorns. But for most students, they'll have to be satisfied with watching the game outside of the stadium or from the comfort of home. Due to the large demand for tickets and the limited supply of tickets given to TCU, a lottery was organized to determine which students would receive a ticket to the game.
