As the deans of the business and communication schools step down, a search committee is being formed to fill their positions.Daniel Short, dean of the M.J. Neeley School of Business, has decided to step down from his position by the end of the 2008 academic year.
Short said he believes he has done a good job as dean for four years and now he wants to give someone else an opportunity do a better job.
"I will miss being a dean," he said. "It is the greatest job in the world to work with other deans and alumni."
It's taken Perrotti's Pizza longer than expected, but a property company representative said the pizzeria's move to the GrandMarc is right around the corner. In November, Andrew Harris, assistant asset manager for Phoenix Property Co., which owns and operates the GrandMarc, told the Skiff that Perrotti's was expected to move in by the first of the year, but "a few minor issues" have delayed the move.
"(The interior) is already built," Harris said. "(But) it's taken a little longer than we thought it would."
The TCU women's soccer team returns to the field this weekend to take on Tulsa and Oral Roberts in the Tulsa University Women's Soccer/Grover Classic.TCU will play Tulsa at 7 p.m., Friday and Oral Roberts at 1:30 p.m., Sunday. Both games will be played at Tulsa's Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.

If for some odd reason you have ever walked by the University Recreation Center at 5 a.m. and wondered who would actually be in the weight room that early, the answer is simple: the TCU swimming and diving team.Even in the offseason, the team dedicates itself to early morning practices to go along with some afternoon training sessions in order to better itself for the next season, head coach Richard Sybesma said.
"We have to make a commitment to the offseason to start with a stronger team in the season," Sybesma said. "Offseason commitment equals in-season success."
Frog Bytes may soon be getting a major face-lift with the departure of the Pizza Hut brand and the welcoming of another.Changes could begin as early as the end of the semester, said Rick Flores, general manager for Sodexho Campus Services.
"We're in the fact-gathering stage to find a new brand to fill that space," Flores said.
Flores said TCU Dining Services wants to offer students a wider variety.
"We are looking to have full-size pies and sell them either whole or by the slice," Flores said.
