The executive editor is expected to organize and supervise the organization. Working in conjunction with the managing editors and other staffers, the executive editor sets the editorial tone for the organization. The executive is expected to help foster an environment of that is welcoming and inclusive. The executive editor is expected to work with advisers and the staff to develop viable coverage strategies for campus events as well as off-campus happenings that are pertinent to the audience. The executive editor is also expected to identify engagement strategies to amplify coverage. The executive editor will work closely with editors and reporters to see that all work posted on the site meets minimum publication standards.
- Successful completion of Reporting 30204 (or course work in another major deemed comparable by student media advisers)
- At least one semester of experience as a line editor or managing editor
