The number of TCU students from California has doubled in the last five years, according to the TCU Fact Book. Very soon, they’ll have a place nearby that may make them feel a little more at home.

California-based In-N-Out burger will open at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday morning. The newest chain is located at 2900 W. Seventh St.

The location will open earlier in the morning if enough people are waiting, company vice president Carl Van Fleet said.

He said they were very excited to open this location near a college campus like TCU.

In-N-Out is known for it’s secret menu (which is hardly a secret anymore) including burgers with lettuce instead of buns and “animal style” fries topped with cheese and grilled onions.

Huge groups showed up to the opening of chains in Frisco and Allen in May. The lines for burgers last hours.

While In-N-Out is known for their quality, students may not want to eat there every day. According to their website, a double-double with fries will give you over 1,000 calories.
