College students seem to have a reliance on caffeine to get them through lectures and late night study sessions, but there are healthier alternatives to power through the day.

Billy Bob’s to host Reckless Kelly

The Texas country band Reckless Kelly, along with Jason Boland and  Chris Cagle will perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively at Billy Bob’s Texas  as part of their big Labor Day concert weekend. The weekend will also include the 6th annual Pickin’ For Preemies Acoustic Jam fundraiser on Monday, which benefits Cook Children’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The Reckless Kelly’s music can be classified as country/rock or roots music. Reckless Kelly  has five albums with record label Yep Roc Records and is releasing its latest record, Good Luck and True Love  this September. This new album will also be the launch of the band’s own record label, No Big Deal Records.

Reckless Kelly  said they are excited about their new label and have posted on their website that if fans have any questions, the band can be reached by e-mail at [email protected] with the subject FAN2BAND. Fans are instructed to include their names, where they are from, how long they have been a fan and of course, their questions.

The band will showcase songs from their new album during their concert at Billy Bob’s on Saturday, and the show will start at 10:30  p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or over the phone at 817-624-7117.  Reserved seats are $18.00 and General Admission is $15.00.
