Both the women’s soccer team and the women’s swimming & diving teams will see action tonight to kick off TCU’s Homecoming Weekend.

The TCU women’s soccer team will take on the Broncos tonight at Boise State University.

The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

TCU women’s soccer is currently 7-8-1 overall and 1-3-0 in the conference.

The team was unable to stop Wyoming during Sunday’s game, losing 3-1. Redshirt freshman Brooke Kviz scored the lone goal for the Horned Frogs.

Sunday’s loss was the seniors’ final home game at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.

Tonight’s game will be the first time the women’s soccer team competes against the new Mountain West Conference opponent. Boise State accepted the invitation to join the MWC just this year, effective July 1, 2011. But the Broncos’ move to the Mountain West has not come easily. Boise State is currently 6-9-1 on the season and 1-3 in conference play. They are tied with TCU for last place in the Mountain West.

TCU will take on the Lobos in New Mexico next Friday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m.

The team will then travel back to Albuquerque for the Mountain West Conference Championship. The first round is Thursday, Nov. 3.

    Swimming & Diving

The TCU Women’s Swimming & Diving Team will face off against the New Mexico State Aggies on tonight at home.

The Frogs are coming off of a successful competition against Notre Dame, Michigan and Oakland on Oct. 15 and 16 in which they won seven events.

Junior sprinter Sabine Rasch claimed a pair of victories in the 50-freestyle and 100-freestyle.

Amanda Vincent, a sophomore, also claimed two sweeping victories in the butterfly events.

Junior diver Katie Lybbert ranked at the top of the leaderboard in the three-meter springboard, while Victoria Thicke-Rattray won the 200-individual medley. The team finished the evening with an impressive 400-freestyle relay featuring Rasch, Mackenzie Schuler, Katie Scarsella and Parris Schoppa.

The Frogs and Aggies will compete Friday at the University Rec Center at 6 p.m.
